Sheik told Link he would find someone awaiting the "time of awakening" at the Forest Temple. With the Hookshot obtained in the Kakariko Village graveyard, Link entered the Forest Temple and defeated Phantom Ganon. The sage awaiting the time of awakening was Saria, and she became the Sage of the Forest. She will wait in the Chamber of Sages until she is needed. "I...can never return to the world I knew," she told Link. But she promised to always be his friend, and she entrusted him with the Forest Medallion.
