With no water about and my research on hold,
I took to cleaning the lake bed. Over and over.

Which reminds me... I discovered a hole along the
cliffs. I wanted to crawl in and have a look.

But even my slim frame won't fit. I'd venture to
guess only a child could squeeze in there.

So, I dropped by the Fishing Pond on my way to
do a bit of cleaning, only for the proprietor to all
but demand I get to fishing.

He was so excited, jabbering about how people
have been landing lots of big fish recently.

That reminds me! Have you seen the stone slab
at the foot of a tree in the center of the lake?

I wiped away the grime and found words written
on it that made not a lick of sense.

breaking, blah blah, an arrow, and so forth.
You get the idea. Utter gibberish at best.

I suppose I can finally start that back up.
