And then what?!

I knew it!

For real?! No way!

You must be kidding?!

I KNEW you'd know!

Hey! What'd I say? Keep your voice DOWN!

But we haven't heard anything since, right? Do
you think that the monsters could've— I dunno...

What a foolish notion! There's no way...NO WAY
that would happen. She's stronger than any of
those monsters!

She was the one and only Gerudo with the
courage to oppose him directly.

Don't misunderstand. There were plenty of us
who agreed with her.

But she refused to join forces with anyone else.
Some believe she did this in order to protect us
from any danger that might befall her.

I mean, who IS the exalted Nabooru? You know,
other than the mighty Ganondorf's loyal right-
hand woman?

Oh! Are you talking about that iron mask
she wore?

She'd sworn her fealty to the mighty Ganondorf.

And yet, whenever his wrath was directed at us—
the soldiers—she always stepped in and took the
brunt of his rage... She protected us.

I am. Before that day, she had never worn
anything like it.

And, well...one time I happened to overhear
something she said...

The iron mask had accidentally come loose. I still
remember her exact words.

If the mighty Ganondorf were here, well...

Those of us who allowed the intruder to enter
would've been eliminated by now, along with the
intruder himself.

I'd love to catch a glimpse of the exalted Nabooru
without her mask on...

I still can't believe that Hylian snuck by us
like that.

It was my first assignment, you know. The way
it all went down, I thought for sure I was getting
the boot.

And...they were?

Wait. So you're saying that whole thing about the
exalted Nabooru being the mighty Ganondorf's
number two is a lie?

E-eliminated?

His enemies I understand, but does the
mighty Ganondorf really show no mercy
to his own troops?

A suit of armor?!

Last I heard the mighty Ganondorf dispatched her
for guard duty at the Spirit Temple.

So? Then what happened?!

The exalted Nabooru became the captain of the
fortress, right? What was she like after that?

That is so cool...

There were even times she would speak her mind
and tell him what she truly thought.

But whenever she did that, her iron mask was
strengthened more and more...

Until finally, it encased every part of her body. It
was no longer a mask so much as a suit of armor.

Things weren't so brutal when the exalted
Nabooru was in charge...

Now THAT I want to hear more about!

I'm still new around here, and there's still so much
I don't know.

Can you tell me more about the exalted
Nabooru? Pretty please?

Not exactly... About seven years ago, the mighty
Ganondorf announced who would be leading the
fortress from that time on.

To everyone's surprise, he bestowed that honor
upon the exalted Nabooru.

It was so shocking, in fact, that a rumor spread
that she'd been brainwashed.

Did you say brainwashed?!

Shh! Keep your voice down!

"What...happened..."

NO! Is that really what she said?!

There's another reason that brainwashing rumor
caught on...

The mask was repaired swiftly, and she was
suddenly the other Nabooru again. As if nothing
had happened...

But...that moment remains etched in my memory
to this very day.

No... My mentor!

Are you OK?!

W-wake up! Wake up!

I learn something new whenever I talk to the more
experienced soldiers. They have so much wisdom...

I gotta absorb as much as I can so the next generation can
look up to me the same way.

You play well.

It's catchy, at least...

What's that instrument?

Quite nice.

What's that instrument?

What's that song?

How moving...

Not bad, I guess.

A song from your home?

Never heard that one.

Not bad, I guess...

I really liked that one.

Never heard that one.

Not bad, I guess.

A song from your home?

Never heard that one...

Not sure I liked it.

A song from your home?

Quite nice.

It's catchy, at least...

I really liked that one.

This song is familiar...

My spirit stirs...

I really liked that one.

Quite nice.

It's catchy, at least...

What's that instrument?

Never heard that one.

A song from your home?

You play well.

So...sleepy...

Not bad, I guess.

You play well.

Go on—try it!

You better not miss!

Think that'd scare me?

You've lost your mind!

Put out the flames!

Behave yourself!

Why, you!

You've lost your mind!

How overconfident!

Ack!

Guh!

It's a fight, then?!

You're done!

Why, you!

Now you've done it!
